Royal Ballet Live: Ballet to Broadway: Wheeldon Works

Sensuous contemporary ballet meets the energy of musical theatre in four distinctive short works; Fool’s Paradise, The Two of Us, Us and An American in Paris, all showing the remarkable choreographic range of The Royal Ballet’s Artistic Associate, Christopher Wheeldon.

Luminescent and shimmering, Fool’s Paradise was created in 2007 and first performed by the Royal Ballet in 2012.

Originally danced in New York in 2020, The Two of Us features the wistful songs of Joni Mitchell.

Us is a tender duet danced by two men, created in 2017 for BalletBoyz.

An American in Paris (Ballet) is an excerpt from one of the most memorable scenes of the successful musical, in which the two central characters dance through Paris.
