Mikindani (2024) World Premiere & Director Q&A

Mikindani is a documentary exploring the lives and culture of the Makonde people of East Africa. The film has been made to support the activities of Mikindani Museum, and is brought to you by Trade Aid, a Fordingbridge-based charity that works to alleviate poverty in the Tanzanian town.

The aim of Trade Aid is to create sustainable employment by providing opportunities for work and encouraging enterprise in the area, including at The Old Boma Hotel, which is staffed entirely by specially-trained, local people.

At this event to launch the documentary, there will be a Q&A after the film with director, Freya Williams, as well as the chance to explore a temporary exhibition.

Tickets are only £6.
