Bye Bye Tiberias (2024)

The Regal Cinema’s World Cinema series presents the Palestinian documentary Bye Bye Tiberias.

Years after leaving her Palestinian village to pursue an acting career in France, Hiam Abbass (best known for her role in Succession) returns home with her daughter, in this intimate documentary about four generations of women and their shared legacy of separation.

Set between past and present, Bye Bye Tiberias pieces together images of today, family footage and historical archives to portray four generations of daring Palestinian women who keep their story and legacy alive through the strength of their bonds, despite exile, dispossession and heartbreak.

This film with be shown in Arabic and French with English subtitles.
