An American in Paris is a charming musical that stars Gene Kelly, Oscar Levant and Georges Guétary as three friends struggling to find work in the city. Things become even more complicated for the trio when two of them fall for the same girl; Lisa Bouvier played by a young Leslie Caron.

Inspired by the 1928 orchestral composition An American in Paris by George Gershwin, the film was exceptionally well received and was nominated for 8 Academy Awards. The film won 6 Oscars including Best Picture, Best Music and Best Cinematography.
