Celebrating its 40th Anniversary, An American Werewolf in London is just as impressive, thrilling and amusing as it is ever was.

Blending horror with satire, the film begins with American college students David and Jack on a walking tour of Britain. The pair are set upon by a werewolf that none of the locals will admit exists.

The film features a jaw dropping scene in which man turns into beast, excruciatingly, body part by body part in an incredible show of practical effects that, quite understandably, won the film the Best Makeup Oscar back in 1982.
