The Regal Cinema is open once more! We re-opened on 17th May and were met…
Firstly, we would like to say that we are genuinely devastated to be in this position again mere days after sorting out almost a thousand tickets (that’s a lot for a 30-seater cinema!) that were booked for screenings due to be held during the first lockdown.
This is a long post with lots of information, but here are the highlights:
- All films will be rescheduled after lockdown
- We can only offer refunds for screenings between the dates of 5th Nov and 2nd Dec
- To request a refund please send your ticket information to: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Deadline for receiving refunds this week is midnight on Thursday 5th November
- Refund requests made after this will be issued post-lockdown (due to our office staff going back on furlough)
We are going to take a slightly different approach this time as we know that everybody who booked tickets was happy to come to the cinema under the current circumstances (socially distanced, wearing face coverings, etc). We will reschedule everybody’s tickets into the New Year once we know for sure that lockdown will not be extended at the beginning of December.
If you cannot make your new date, we will of course offer you a refund or a voucher. Please be aware that we will not be able to send you your rescheduled tickets for some weeks yet as we will need to wait until we can be sure that the Government allows us to re-open in early December!
If you would like a refund for your November 5th – December 2nd tickets you will need to contact us to arrange this. Please contact us on email@example.com and we will be able to issue your refund this week.
Please note that there will be a deadline for the processing of refunds due to our staff being furloughed at the start of the closedown.
You must send any requests for refunds by midnight on Thursday 5th November in order to receive refunds before our staff return from furlough at a later date. We will, of course, honour any refunds requested after the deadline, but unfortunately these will not be able to be issued until our staff return from furlough at the end of lockdown.
We will not yet be refunding any tickets for December or January unless these screenings are also impacted by lockdown at a later date. Thank you for your understanding.
