4K Remaster: Breathless [À Bout de Souffle] (1960)

The Regal Cinema’s World Cinema series presents the French crime film Breathless which has been beautifully restored in 4K.

Directed by the lengendary late Jean-Luc Godard, Breathless stars Jean-Paul Belmondo as a small-time thief who panics and impulsively kills a policeman while driving a stolen car.

Wanted by the authorities, he turns to his aspiring journalist girlfriend Patricia (Jean Seberg), hiding out in her Paris apartment. When she learns that Michel is being investigated for murder, Patricia begins to question her loyalty.

Director Jean-Luc Godard was a pioneer of the French New Wave film movement; a movement that that revolutionised cinema by rejecting traditional studio techniques for personal, low-budget, and experimental styles.

This film will be shown in French with English subtitles.
